It’s time for another edition of 5 Things, where I tell you about five random things I’m really loving at the moment. So let’s get to it!
1. The best butt jeans.
It’s official. Reformation has the best fitting jeans I’ve ever tried. Obviously, everyone’s body type is different – but if you’ve ever had struggled with jeans being either too tight in the butt and thighs or baggy in the waist, pretty much any jeans from their collection will fit your booty like a glove. These ones I’m wearing are my current faves. I also love that I’m the same size in their rigid denim styles as the stretchy ones, which means ordering online is super easy.
2. Healthy eating for lazy people.
I love a $9 smoothie or a $15 vegan bowl just as much as the next person, and sometimes I even get super fancy and buy all the appropriate accoutrements and make them myself at home. But let’s be real, 80% of the time I am too busy (translation: lazy) to whip together a million ingredients into something that actually tastes good. Daily Harvest is the answer to both the time and price factors that come along with eating healthy. I’ve been using them for a couple months now and I love their smoothies and bowls, and they’re so insanely easy and quick to make. They also come out to about $7 per cup, which has saved me a ton of money from not eating out as much.
3. The perfect carry-on suitcase.
This one by Calpak is chic and the perfect size for most airplanes. I love the 360 degree spinner wheels and could honestly never go back to the traditional style of wheels. I always set my backpack on top and lazily wheel it around the airport with ease.
4. Bingeworthy podcast.
Up & Vanished is a true crime investigative podcast (when am I ever not obsessed with anything and everything true crime), which just launched its second season. Each season covers the stories of women who – you guessed it – have vanished, under very mysterious circumstances. The first season is particularly interesting, as the attention surrounding the case due to the podcast ended up leading to the apprehension of the killer! Perfect for road trips, or if you live in LA, your everyday commute.
5. Hydrating overnight serum.
I love all these exfoliating, anti-aging serums and acids that are popular at the moment, but sometimes your skin just needs some love and extra hydration. On nights when I want to take a break from glycolic acid and other heavier exfoliants, I love this one. It’s super nourishing and hydrating, and even has probiotics in it (which is a thing now – a full blog post on this to come).
