I’m starting a new segment on the blog today, where I share a roundup of 5 things that I’m obsessing over each month. From podcasts to shoppable items or even just information, I hope you’ll find something inspirational or useful here. First up, April…
1. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
Beauty blogger mega-babe Marianna Hewitt and #momgoals lifestyle blogger Lauren Gores teamed up to launch their new Summer Fridays brand, and their first product – the Jet Lag Mask. This mask promises to give you an instant ‘spa glow’, and so far I’m impressed. You can use it like a regular mask, leaving it on for a minimum of 10 minutes and simply wiping off the excess to remove, rather than rinsing off. OR, try it as an overnight mask. I’ve been using it in place of a moisturizer on nights when I use a heavy duty exfoliant (like the Glossier Solution). And I must say the results are amaze – do this and wake up with baby soft skin in the morning. This helps to tone down my redness, too.
2. The Discoverer Newsletter
As someone who has a relatively short attention span, I appreciate whenever I can receive succinct, bite-sized information on anything, including travel inspiration. Enter: The Discoverer. It’s a weekly newsletter that delivers beautiful destinations to your inbox alongside gorgeous photos and need-to-know information on each city: where to stay, when to visit, what to eat, and anything else you shouldn’t miss. They’re short, pretty, and have given me so many vacay ideas already (Valparaíso, anyone?).
3. Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black
I was hesitant to share this one out of purely selfish reasons. I’ve finally found my perfect fragrance, and I get so many compliments on it. Leave it to the Olsen twins to come up with a chic AF scent. It’s warm, musky, sexy and unexpected – I never leave home without this little rollerball. I’m trying Nirvana White for spring, next.
4. Joid’art Jewelry
I recently discovered this Barcelona-based jewelry brand on Instagram, and quickly became obsessed with their funky, architectural shapes. Since I clearly seem to have an earring addiction, I couldn’t help but add a few of their pieces to my ever-expanding collection. You get a lot of beautiful design for the price, too.
5. The Daily Podcast
If you’re like me and get news burnout/depression pretty quickly, but still want to be up on what’s happening in this crazy world – you need to be listening to The Daily. This (slightly left-leaning) podcast breaks down the must-know stories from the day in 25ish minute episodes. Perfect for commutes, workouts or (my recent fave), while making dinner.
