Happy 2018 everyone! For my first post of the new year, I’m kicking off with this rather lazy athletic outfit (not exactly a good start?), in the hopes that it will inspire me to actually work out this year. Which, to be totally cliche, tends to be a goal of mine every January. The great thing about these types of outfits is that they pack a lot of chicness for the amount of effort that they actually took (which is nearly zero). If you’re feeling the 2017 hangover like I am and having a rough start feeling motivated to get things going, then this outfit should probably be in your playbook.
As an obsessive list-maker, I always love the start of a new year. I’m one of those people that spends a lot of time thinking about and listing out my resolutions, which I then dorkily put on my moodboard above my desk. It’s easy to let New Year’s Resolutions fade after a few weeks, but I find that when I list them out and make them visible, I’m actually able to keep pretty good tabs on them throughout the year. In 2017 I was able to accomplish a good 60% of what I had planned, which isn’t bad compared to the statistics (in which only 8% of people accomplish their goals!). Of course, we all want to conquer 100% of our resolutions, but let’s be real – many of us set pretty unrealistic goals for ourselves from year to year (travel the world, find true love, lose a gazillion pounds, reinvent our career, buy a home, pay off our debts, learn a new language, etc). This year, I’m setting realistic, achievable goals for myself. One of those being – work out more. Oh, and also get a tattoo. What are your resolutions this year?
