Blazer Borrowed From The Boys

The Superbowl is today and not to be overly basic, but I’ll be celebrating like a girl – drinking rosé and watercoloring with one of my besties while the game/Lady Gaga plays in the background. While I’m not one of those girls who seems to know every professional athlete’s name or is on a fantasy football team, I do enjoy watching the USC football team and the Lakers kick ass every now and then (though sadly it’s been a while since they’ve kicked much ass). For the most part though, sports just aren’t my thing. Now, that’s not to say that they can’t be a genuine feminine pursuit. I know plenty of girls who are genuinely interested in them/amazing at them.I just personally have (almost) zero interest, except for days like today when nachos are usually involved.

One thing I do like to steal from the boys, is fashion, particularly outerwear and sweaters that look like your grandpa would wear them. You know, those super chunky, way-too-big fisherman type sweaters that you either stole from your boyfriend or maybe picked up at a thrift store? There’s literally nothing I love more than snuggling up in one of those badboys. This blazer from Zara is another borrowed-from-the-boys type piece that feels extra smart since it’s a touch masculine and tailored, but also oversized with a vintage feel. It gives an otherwise pretty basic look a little oomph. Thanks boys!
