I think it’s safe to say that linen is the official fabric of summer. It’s lightweight, breathable, and looks just as good wrinkled as it does pressed – making it the perfect vacation companion when you need to toss it into your beach bag or suitcase. Linen tops make me think of salty summer skin that smells of SPF and long days spent seaside, and everyone needs one (or three) in their wardrobe.
I’ve essentially been living in this one from Zara for the past 2 months, starting with my vacation to Mexico in May. I wore it almost daily, and I swear it got better with each day’s trip to and from the beach… I almost didn’t want to wash it when I got home because it just smelled like my little slice of heaven on the Mexican shore (but of course I did, cause that’s gross). It makes the perfect coverup, but also looks cool tied up as I’ve done it here so that I can show off this equally as fun ruffle skirt. Is it weird to be planning my next vacation around how I can wear this shirt? Probably. But what can I say, it’s the one!
